I've got an 08 500 and at the last service (May) I asked for a software update on Blue & Me which I thought would fix the excess volume problem.  Since then, when I start the engine it flips from the radio to the Media Player, even if the radio was on when the engine stopped.  It also always starts at 'A' on the playlist and I have to reset to 'Play Anything' each time.  I've also tried turning the radio off but it comes on anyway when starting up.  Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?

I've had exactly the same problems with my Brave. It's a real pain in the butt. I took it back to the dealer to see if there was a fix to stop it coming on every time I started up. Their answer. NO that's how it works.                 

 I want to decide when I want the radio on not have the car do it for me.

I now got an even better one: my adapter stops working and I have to go back to the dealer to have my car rebooted. Great. Had it a few weeks ago and just had to call them again. Apparently other customers had it too. Nevermind my time, my mileage, my fuel..... Not impressed!
